Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3 Prediction: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya have all the reasons to be on cloud nine these days. After all, the duo's recent release has been creating waves ever since it was announced. We are talking about Sky Force which is based on a true story and is helmed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. To note, Sky Force is an action drama and marks Veer's grand debut in Bollywood. Apart from Akshay and Veer, Sky Force also features Sharad Kelkar, Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in key roles.

For the uninitiated, Sky Force is based on India's first airstrike, the Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. The movie features Akshay playing the role of an Indian air force pilot for the first time on the big screen along with Veer Pahariya who has been winning hearts with his impressive performance in the film. As Sky Force managed to create a massive buzz in the town, it has opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics and turns out to be a perfect releases ahead of the 75th Republic Day celebrations.

Sky Force witnessed a decent start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 12.25 crores. This was followed by a massive hike in numbers on day 2 (first Saturday) wherein the action drama raked in Rs 21.50 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 33.75 crores

Given the ongoing trend, Sky Force is expected to see another hike at the box office today (day 3/ first Sunday) as the nation celebrates the 76th Republic Day. The movie is likely to rake in Rs 20-25 crores today and will be crossing Rs 50 crores mark during its opening weekend. In fact, Sky Force's opening weekend collection is likely to touch Rs 40 crores mark

Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
