Sky Force Opening Weekend Collection: Akshay Kumar has captivated the attention of the nation once again with his latest cinematic venture, Sky Force, which stands as his inaugural release for the year. This patriotic drama, eagerly anticipated by fans and critics alike, delves into the heroic narrative of India's first airstrike on the Sargodha airbase in Pakistan during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. Sky Force witnessed a decent hold at the box office during the weekend. After an opening day collection of Rs 12.25 crores, Sky Force raked in Rs 22 crores on the first Saturday (day 3) followed by a collection of Rs 27.5 crores on the first Sunday (day 4). This made the opening weekend collection of Sky Force to Rs 49.5 crores

Sky Force vs Fighter: Who Earned A Highest Collection In Opening Weekend?

Interestingly, Sky Force has been witnessing a constant comparison with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter. And as Sky Force has been giving a tough competition to the Siddharth Anand directorial, fans have been speculating about who earned more during the opening weekend. While Sky Force raked in Rs 49.5 crores in its opening weekend, it failed to beat Fighter which had minted Rs 56.5 crores during its opening weekend.

Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah.
