To note, Superboys of Malegaon is based on the life of Nasir Shaikh and other amateur filmmakers in the Indian city of Malegaon. Interestingly, it is inspired by the 2008 documentary Supermen of Malegaon. The movie, which was premiered in the Gala section at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, has managed to create a buzz in the town and there have been speculations about the film's box office performance.

According to media reports, Superboys of Malegaon is expected to have a decent start at the box office and is aiming a start of around 1 crores. As per a report published in Koimoi, Superboys of Malegaon is expected to mint between Rs 0.90-1.20 crores.

Will Superboys of Malegaon Beat Loveyapa?

Interestingly, while Superboys of Malegaon will be seen competing with the Chhaava fever, there have been speculations if it will manage to surpass the opening day collection of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa (Rs 1.15 crores) or Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani starrer Azaad (Rs 1.5 crores). It will be interesting to see if Superboys of Malegaon beat Loveyapa and Azaad.
