In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal stated that Thandel to have a slow start at the box office and is expected to rake in Rs 20 lakhs today (day 1/ first Friday) in the Hindi market.

Thandel To Fail To Beat Game Changer

To note, if the reports turned out to be true, Thandel will fail to beat the opening day collection of Ram Charan's Game Changer which had premiered earlier this year. For the uninitiated, Game Changer had minted Rs 7.5 crores on its opening day in the Hindi market

Meanwhile, it is reported that Thandel is based on the true events of fishermen from Srikakulam. The media reports suggest that Thandel focuses on Chodipilli Musalayya who had joined 30 fishermen on a fishing trip in six boats in 2000 who endure a harrowing journey after drifting into Pakistani waters while fishing.
