According to a report published in Sacnilk, The Bhootnii witnessed a slow start at the box office and minted Rs 65 lakhs on the opening day (day 1/ first Thursday)

To note, with an opening day collection of Rs 65 lakhs The Bhootnii has emerged as as Sanjay Dutt's lowest opener in 20 years. This isn't all. It has also turned out to be Mouni Roy's lowest opener and 2nd lowest opener for Sunny Singh. Besides, The Bhootnii is also said to be the second lowest opener with renowned stars as cast in 2025. The first place is taken by Phule which minted Rs 15 lakhs on the first day.
Meanwhile, Mouni Roy recently sung praises about Sanjay Dutt and told IANS, "I am a huge fan of Sanjay Sir. I mean, who isn't? He's a very experienced actor, but not once did he show it off on the sets. He was always there to guide us, teach us, offer us his experience, share his learnings. I was naturally very intimidated by a man of his stature, but he made sure to make me feel comfortable and was approachable to all of us".
