The Bhootnii Box Office Collection Day 3: Sanjay Dutt's recent release The Bhootnii has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced for several reasons. The movie is a horror comedy which is a popular genre in India lately. Besides, The Bhootnii is coming with a stellar cast including Sanjay, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh and Palak Tiwari in the lead. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, The Bhootnii marks Sanjay Dutt's first collaboration with Mouni Roy. While the trailer did grab eyeballs, The Bhootnii has been struggling at the box office.
For the uninitiated, The Bhootnii marks Sanjay Dutt's debut in the horror comedy genre. The movie revolves around a ghost named Mohabbat (played by Mouni Roy) who haunts a tree in a college and is active on every Valentine's Day. Things take a different turn after Mohabbat gets obsessed with a young student (played by Sunny Singh). As things go out of hands, a ghost hunter (played by Sanjay Dutt) is called to control the ghost and save the students. Despite an interesting trailer, The Bhootnii failed to strike a chord with the audience. Besides, The Bhootnii's box office clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 has turned out to be a disaster for this horror comedy.

Accordinf to a report published in Sacnilk, The Bhootnii saw a 38% hike in numbers but failed to earn 1 crores on day 3. The movie minted Rs 86 lakhs on day 3 (first Saturday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 2.13 crores
The Bhootnii vs Raid 2: Who Won On Day 3
To note, as The Bhootnii is witnessing a box office clash with Raid 2, it being quashed by the Ajay Devgn starrer since the first day. To note, while The Bhootnii minted Rs 86 lakhs on day 3, the number turned out to be Rs 18 cores for Raid 2. It will be interesting to see if The Bhootnii will manage to touch Rs 5 crores during the opening weekend.
Meanwhile, Mouni Roy recently sung praises about Sanjay Dutt and told IANS, "I am a huge fan of Sanjay Sir. I mean, who isn't? He's a very experienced actor, but not once did he show it off on the sets. He was always there to guide us, teach us, offer us his experience, share his learnings. I was naturally very intimidated by a man of his stature, but he made sure to make me feel comfortable and was approachable to all of us".
