The Diplomat Box Office Collection Day 3 Early Updates: The Diplomat is the one of the most-talked about films in Bollywood after the release of Chhaava, back in February 14, 2025. The political drama is based on true story of IFS J.P. Singh and his courageous attempt of repatriating a girl from Pakistan with the help of then External Affair Minister, Sushma Swaraj. The Diplomat stars John Abraham in the leading role with other talented cast featuring Sadia Khateeb, Prapti Shukla, Jagjeet Sandhu, Ashwath Bhatt, Sharib Hashmi, among others. The movie, which is directed by Shivam Nair, offers audience a gripping narrative coupled with the superb acting of the cast.

The Diplomat's not-upto-the-mark performance at the box office leaving a question to many if it is because of the presence of Chhaava, as John's film got smashed by Vicky Kaushal's historical drama even after the latter being at the box office for 5 weeks now.

More About The Diplomat
Recently, director Anurag Kashyap reviewed the film, and the director and actor told Indian Express, "I really liked The Diplomat. I told John, 'After a long time, I am seeing you being a very good actor.' He is not doing unnecessary action or herogiri in the film. He is solely playing a character. And Shivam Nair has made a really engaging film."
John, who have earlier collaborated with Anurag with No Smoking (2007), expressed his wish to work with the director once again, however, Anurag stated that he needs a 'subject' to make the sequel, "John really means it but I want a subject. Over a period of time, a film achieves a cult following. So it becomes even more scary to meet people's expectations. I want to go into that zone only if the subject matter is unique."
The Diplomat, helmed by Shivam Nair, is bankrolled by T-series.
