After making a collection of Rs 4.65 crores on the first Sunday (day 3), The Diplomat saw a massive drop of 67% in numbers. According to a report published in Sacnilk, The Diplomat made a collection of Rs 1.5 crores on day 4 (first Monday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 14/80 crores.
The Diplomat vs Vedaa: Who Won On 1st Monday?
While The Diplomat is often compared to John's 2024 release Vedaa, there have been speculations about who won on 1st Monday. Well, both movies seem to have a tie. Yes! Both The Diplomat and Vedaa had earned Rs 1.5 crores on their respective first Monday
Meanwhile, John Abraham was seen singing praises for Indian diplomat JP Singh whom he met during the workshop to prepare for his character. Recalling the meeting, John said, "JP Singh sir came on set, and I observed his body language, the way he spoke-bahut hi sweet, simple, lekin pata hai jaise shatranj ke table pe, on the chess table, how you have your moves, I think he thinks 10 moves ahead.
