The Diplomat Box Office Collection Day 8 Early Updates: The Diplomat has been garnering praises for its superb plot, revolving around the true story of Indian ambassador, J.P. Singh. However, even after getting much praise from the critics, the movie failed to garner footfall as much as it was expected witnessing lower opening day collection compared to John Abraham's last release, Vedaa, which worked decent on day 1 by collecting Rs. 6.52 Cr. It is to be noted that The Diplomat maintained a steady growth at the box office despite seeing lower amount of collection on opening day which made the film to cross Rs. 20 Cr on its day 8.

On day 7 the movie has seen -6.67% negative growth compared to day 6 when it minted Rs. 1.5 Cr. After opening the box office collection with Rs. 4 Cr, the total India nett collection of the movie stands at Rs. 20.17 Cr as of 9pm on day 8.

According to Bollywood Hungama report, Vedaa earned Rs. 20.25 Cr nett from the domestic box office during its theatrical run. Thus, in order to surpass Vedaa, the political drama needs to mint another Rs. 8 lakhs in one hour before the box office closes, which is feasible for the film to make.
