The Diplomat Gross (India) Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Can John's Film Beat Attack Part 1 On Sat?

The Diplomat Gross India BO Collection Day 2 Prediction

The Diplomat Gross (India) Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: The Diplomat (2025) has been one of the biggest releases of 2025 after the release of Chhaava, and people have been waiting for the political drama ever since it was announced. The movie, where John Abraham plays the role of Indian deputy high commissioner J.P. Singh, is based on the true story that revolces around an IFS officer's mission to rescue a young girl, who was forced to marry in Pakistan. Despite the intriguing plotline and buzz, the movie couldn't perfom well at the box office on day 1 and failed to even cross Rs. 5 Cr on its opening day.

While it can be the effect of Chhaava's presence at the theatres, or the dimmed promotion, the movie couldn't shine brighter on its opening day and even it is showing no hope on day 2 either. However, the John Abraham film, which also stars Sadia Khateeb, Jagjeet Sandhu, Prapti Shukla, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, Shehnaz Saher, Ashwath Bhatt, among others, is now eyeing to beat the collection of another John's film Attack: Part 1 (2022). But will it be able to do so on day 2? Let's find out!

The Diplomat Gross (India) Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction

The Diplomat has had a slow start on opening day and minted only Rs. 4.80 Cr gross at the box office, according to the box office reports of Sacnilk. On day 2, it has seen a dip in footfall in morning and afternoon shows which is expected to negatively affect the collection on 1st Saturday and resulted in the dip in collection today. The India gross collection of John's film is expected to lie somewhere between Rs. 4.2-4.8 Cr gross on Saturday.

Can The Diplomat Beat Attack: Part 1's Collection On Day 2?

Attack: Part 1, which was released in 2022, earned Rs. 4.15 Cr gross on day 1 at the domestic box office. On the other hand, on day 2, the movie earned Rs. 4 Cr nett, according to the early estimates of Sacnilk, meaning the gross collection would have lied somewhere between Rs. 9-9.5 Cr gross.

In order to beat Attack: Part 1, The Diplomat needs to earn another Rs. 4.2-4.7 Cr gross on day 2, which seems feasible for the film to make.

The Diplomat is directed by Shivam Nair, and is made out of a budget of Rs. 20 Cr. The project tells the true story of diplomat J.P. Singh, who had to rescue a girl from Pakistan with the help of then Minister of External Affairs of India.

John, who often delivers patriotic movies, recently revealed how he feels safe in the country. He also talked about the notion 'minorities are not safe in India'. He said, "Probably because I'm an actor, people would argue and say, Hey, listen, listen. You're an actor. You know, people would probably like you or dislike you for other reasons. But I'm a minority. My mother's a Zoroastrian. My father's a Syrian Christian. And I've never felt more safe than in my country."

He added, "I love my country, and I feel so safe in it. So, people who use that as a crucifixion excuse-I mean, I'm a living example. Probably, I come from a minority that no one has a problem with. I don't know... Who would have a problem with the Parsis? Talking about myself, I feel very safe in this country and I feel great about being Indian. I also feel that there's probably no one more Indian than I am. I've got this chip on my shoulder where I feel I carry the Indian flag everywhere."
