John Abraham's The Diplomat witnessed around 50% dip in numbers on day 3 (first Sunday) in the overseas market. According to a report published in Sacnilk, The Diplomat, which made a collection of Rs 95 lakhs on day 2 (first Saturday), earned Rs 45 lakhs on day 3 (first Sunday) which took the overseas collection to Rs 2.6 crores

While worldwide box office collection of The Diplomat happened to be Rs 12.50 crores on day 2 (first Saturday), is now standing at Rs 18.5 crores after the first weekend.
Meanwhile, John Abraham was seen singing praises for Indian diplomat JP Singh whom he met during the workshop to prepare for his character. Recalling the meeting, John said, "JP Singh sir came on set, and I observed his body language, the way he spoke-bahut hi sweet, simple, lekin pata hai jaise shatranj ke table pe, on the chess table, how you have your moves, I think he thinks 10 moves ahead. Matlab, voh baat toh aaram se karenge, but he has already planned what his next 10 moves are-and that's how a diplomat behaves".
