The Diplomat, which marks the return of John Abraham in silver screen after 7 months after the release of his film, Vedaa, has already surpassed the collection of the latter on its 5th day. The Diplomat, which hit the screens on March 14, 2025, has seen sluggish opening on day 1 owing to the presence of Chhaava at the box office. Although Chhaava released on February 14, 2025, a month before the political drama, the powerful presence of the historical movie, has affected the collection of the John's movie.
John Abraham's film revolves around the life of J.P. Singh, an Indian diplomat, who fought against the system to bring back a young girl from Pakistan, who was forced to marry without her will. The drama, based on real-life incident, took place in 2017 when J.P. Coming to the box office collection, the movie has opened the box office with Rs. 4 Cr, which was lower than John's last film, Vedaa, which opened the box office with Rs. 6.52. However, owing to its steady momentum, The Diplomat has been able to surpass the collection of Vedaa within 5 days of its release.
The Diplomat Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction
On day 6, The Diplomat earned Rs. 2.70 Cr worldwide, according to Sacnilk with an unchanged collection from overseas. However, the worldwide collection is considered after taking into accounts the collection of overseas collection and India gross collection which stands at Rs. 2.70 Cr on day 6. On day 6, the worldwide collection stands at Rs. 23.70 Cr surpassing the collection of John's previous release, Vedaa, which earned Rs. 21.40 as of day 5.
Now, coming to the prediction, The Diplomat is expected to see the rise in collection by another Rs. 2-2.5 Cr in the worldwide collection on day 6. In order to cross Rs. 25 Cr mark, the movie needs to mint another Rs. 1.30 Cr which seems feasible for the film to make. Thus, it can be said The Diplomat will be able to cross Rs. 25 Cr mark today itself.
More About The Diplomat
The Diplomat tells the story of a young girl belonging from minority community. Recently, John Abraham opened up about his position and how he feels about belonging to minority community in India, to which he replied to the debate that 'minorities aren't safe in India', "I love my country, and I feel so safe in it. So, people who use that as a crucifixion excuse-I mean, I'm a living example. Probably, I come from a minority that no one has a problem with. I don't know... Who would have a problem with the Parsis? Talking about myself, I feel very safe in this country and I feel great about being Indian. I also feel that there's probably no one more Indian than I am. I've got this chip on my shoulder where I feel I carry the Indian flag everywhere."
