Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar, the cult-classic romantic-comedy made a grand return to big screens on 3rd January 2025. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in the lead, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is giving a tough competition to all the other releases despite limited screenings. For those unversed, YJHD re-released in national top multiplex chains - PVR Inox and Cinepolis.
Matching up to the hype, Ranbir-Deepika's YJHD raked in Rs 1.15 cr on the day of its release. Due to the craze, the rom-com maintained strong hold in theatres and saw remarkable hike in the weekend. On the first Monday, the movie did see drop in numbers but remained strong at ticket counters. As reported by Pinkvilla, the Dharma film saw a slight hike in numbers yesterday (first Tuesday, Jan 7) and added Rs 1.70 cr approx. Now, the 5-day total nett collection of YJHD stands at Rs 9.70 cr after its re-release.

The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani magic continues to cast its nostalgic spell at the box office. Given the current buzz, the film is likely to earn somewhere between Rs 1.5 - 2 cr today (first Wednesday, Jan 8), crossing the Rs 10 cr-mark at the box office.
