Alpha Box Office Collection Day 4: Alia's Film Sees 70% Dip On 1st Monday But Beats Jigra

Alpha Box Office Collection Day 4: Alia Bhatt starrer Alpha has been one of the most talked about releases of the year and there are no second thoughts about it. Firstly, the movie brings Alia back on the big screen after two years. She was last seen in 2024 release Jigra. Besides, the action thriller, which is helmed by debutant Shiv Rawail, brings an interesting ensemble of cast along with Alia, including Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. In fact, Alpha presented Alia in a never seen before avatar which added to the audience's excitement.

This isn't all. Alpha has been the seventh installment of the YRF's popular spy universe which includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Tiger 3, War, War 2 and Pathaan. However, despite the massive buzz around the movie, Alpha failed to live upto the expectations and witnessed a poor start at the box office. Yes! With an opening day collection of Rs 9.25cr, Alpha recorded the lowest opener of YRF's spy universe. While the opening weekend came with some hike in numbers, Alpha has failed to pass the first Monday test

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Alpha witnessed a dip of 70.9% in numbers on day 4 (first Monday) and recorded its lowest single day collection so far of Rs 3.85 nett in India. This took the overall nett collection of the movie to Rs 37.85cr while the gross collection emerged as Rs 45.34cr

Alpha Beats Jigra On 1st Monday

Despite a significant dip in numbers, Alpha has managed to beat Jigra on first Monday and minted over twice the collection of the latter. For the uninitiated, Jigra had earned Rs 1.65cr on its first Monday post release.

Meanwhile, talking about Alpha in a report published in Bollywood Hungama, Alia stated, "I had such a good time making Alpha. It's probably one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had on a film set. There was something really exciting about stepping into this world of action, scale and adventure. It pushed me in ways I hadn't experienced before and I loved every bit of it. What I loved most was that at the heart of it were two women leading all the action. We don't get to see that very often and I had a lot of fun being part of that. Alpha is a celebration of attitude and a celebration at the movie".
