We are talking about Alpha which stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is the 7th addition to the spy universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. Presenting Alia in a full on action mode, Alpha has managed to create a lot of buzz around its release.

However, Alpha opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics with everyone brimming with opinions about Alia's performance and Bobby Deol's stint as the lead antagonist. Interestingly, Alpha, which witnessed a slow start at the domestic box office and emerged as the lowest opener of YRF's spy universe, opened on a decent note at the worldwide box office. And now, as Alpha is in its first weekend, it is expected to pick up pace at the worldwide box office.

Alpha, which earned Rs 5cr in the overseas on day 1, is expected to see a hike and earn around Rs 6-7cr in the overseas today (day 2/first Saturday) taking the overall collection to Rs 11-12cr.

On the other hand, there have been speculations about if Alpha will touch Rs 50cr at the worldwide box office. However, given the trends, Alpha is expected to inch close to Rs 50cr mark but will take another day to achieve the milestone at the worldwide box office.

Meanwhile, talking about Alpha in a report published in Bollywood Hungama, Alia stated, "I had such a good time making Alpha. It's probably one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had on a film set. There was something really exciting about stepping into this world of action, scale and adventure. It pushed me in ways I hadn't experienced before and I loved every bit of it. What I loved most was that at the heart of it were two women leading all the action. We don't get to see that very often and I had a lot of fun being part of that. Alpha is a celebration of attitude and a celebration at the movie".
