Bhooth Bangla Advance Booking Collection: Akshay Kumar's upcoming horror comedy Bhoot Bangla is drawing early buzz after its teaser review surfaced. A 1 minute 30 second cut, cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification, has reportedly impressed industry watchers, adding to interest around one of 2026's big Hindi releases. Bhoot Bangla is directed by Priyadarshan and features Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav. The film is jointly produced by Akshay Kumar, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The project marks Priyadarshan's return to Hindi horror comedy after Bhool Bhulaiyaa, released in 2007.

To note, Bhooth Bangla reunites Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan in Hindi cinema after a gap of 16 years. Their collaboration has been closely watched by fans of their previous comedies. Bhoot Bangla is scheduled for an April 2026 theatrical release, positioning it among the early-year Hindi film launches. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar is entering 2026 after a packed 2025 line-up, including Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3. Trade observers note that Bhoot Bangla gives Akshay Kumar a genre shift after several action and comedy outings during the previous year. With Priyadarshan returning to Hindi horror comedy after 19 years and reuniting with Akshay Kumar, expectations around Bhoot Bangla remain high.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 74.42lakhs with a sale of 28722 tickets on the first day of advance booking

While Bhooth Bangla witnessed a slow start in terms of advance booking, it will be interesting to see if it can beat the presales of Sky Force which happened to be Rs 3.78cr.

Meanwhile, Jisshu Sengupta opened up about working with Priyadarshan in Bhooth Bangla and told IANS, "The first couple of days, I was really wouldn't say I was tense, but I was, you know, working with "THE" Priyadarshan. On the set, he is a very chilled-out director. He has fun and takes advice from everyone".
