Bhooth Bangla Collection Day 1 Early Update: Akshay's Film Eyes Double Digit Start; Did It Beat BB2 Opening?

Bhooth Bangla (Bhoot Bangla) Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Updates: Akshay Kumar is back in his signature comic-horror zone, and this time, it's with longtime collaborator Priyadarshan. After delivering iconic hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Garam Masala, the celebrated actor-director duo reunites for Bhooth Bangla, which hit theatres on April 17 (today).

Adding to the hype, the makers organised special paid previews on April 16, giving early audiences a sneak peek of the horror-comedy entertainer.

Bhooth Bangla Budget, OTT Release Updates

Boasting a power-packed ensemble led by Akshay Kumar, Bhooth Bangla brings together a mix of seasoned performers and fresh faces. The film also features the late Asrani, along with Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, Jisshu Sengupta, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mithila Palkar in key roles, marking Akshay's much-awaited return to the horror-comedy space.

As per reports, the film is said to be mounted on a hefty budget of around ₹120 crore, reflecting its scale and production value. Meanwhile, the makers have already locked Netflix as the film's digital streaming partner Netflix acquiring the post-theatrical rights. This means that after its run in cinemas, Bhooth Bangla is expected to make its OTT debut on Netflix

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Opening Day Early Trend (Day 1)

Interestingly, Bhooth Bangla arrives amid the ongoing box office wave of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2, setting up an intriguing clash at the ticket windows. As per Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla collected around ₹3.50 cr yesterday from its paid previews. On Day 1, according tog to the real-time data, the film has reportedly earned approximately ₹5.03 cr till 5:30 PM.

With this, the total India gross stands at about ₹10.14 cr, helping the film enter the double-digit range on its opening day. To note, the overall figure also includes the paid preview collections.

Despite its opening-day numbers, Bhooth Bangla (excluding paid previews) is still far from matching Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Day 1 performance. As per Sacnilk, the BB2 tter had collected a solid ₹14.11 crore on its opening day.
