Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 1 (Evening Trend): Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla has been creating waves in the town ever since it was announced. After all, Akshay had returned to horror comedy genre after 6 years. But this isn't all. The superstar has also collaborated with ace filmmaker Priyadarshan after 16 years. Yes! You read it right. The filmmaker, who is returning to the Bollywood horror comedy genre after 19 years, had last collaborated with Akshay in the 2010 release Khatta Meetha.

Apart from Akshay headlining the project, Bhooth Bangla also features Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Mithila Palkar, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles. To note, Bhooth Bangla also marks late veteran actor Asrani's last onscreen performance. Marking Akshay's first release of 2026, Bhooth Bangla has managed to create a lot of buzz in the town and opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics. And now it seems to have picked some pace at the box office in the evening.

Bhooth Bangla Evening Occupancy Day 1

According to a report published in Sacnilk, after recording an occupancy of 10.77% during the morning shows, Bhooth Bangla saw a hike in footfalls and recorded an occupancy of 22.46% during the evening shows. Interestingly, while Bhooth Bangla has been facing a competition from Ranveer's Dhurandhar 2, the espionage thriller is maintaining a good hold at the box office despite being in the 5th week and recorded a footfall of 18.62% today during the evening shows.

To note, despite a good hike in occupancy, Bhooth Bangla has failed to hit the Rs 10cr mark. As per Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla had earned Rs 7.49cr until 7:30pm today and is expected to hit the double digits during the night shows.

Meanwhile, talking ab out reuniting with Akshay, Priyadarshan told PTI, "Every film I've made with him has been a super hit. People say that you are the reason Akshay (does comedy), but I don't believe in all those things. What I did was exploit his sense of humour (on screen). We are working after 14 years and I hope things will work. It's a challenge. We can't match the expectations (of the audience) but I'm trying my best".
