Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 11 (Morning Trend): Akshay’s Film Struggles To Earn 60L; Will It Touch 120Cr?
Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 11 (Morning Trend): Bhooth Bangla landed in cinemas as Bollywood revisits the horror-comedy trend, and audiences respond strongly. Released on April 17, 2026, the film posted an impressive first-week gross of over ₹107 crore in India. The film is directed by Priyadarshan, who returns to horror-comedy nearly twenty years after Bhool Bhulaiyaa. His new outing again mixes eerie situations with broad, accessible humour. The narrative leans on jump scares and slapstick gags, aiming to keep both horror fans and comedy lovers engaged throughout its runtime.

Akshay Kumar leads Bhooth Bangla, backed by a large ensemble that highlights familiar and fresh talent. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta and Asrani share key roles, with the veteran actor featuring in one of the final performances of a long career. A major draw for Bhooth Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after more than a decade. Releasing amid mixed reviews, Bhooth Bangla's collections remained steady in the second weekend signalling solid word-of-mouth across major centres. However, the second Monday came with a massive dip in numbers for the horror comedy

Meanwhile, as Bhooth Bangla marks late actor Asrani's last appearance on the big screen, Akshay Kumar paid a tribute to the legendary actor and wrote, "Kabhi kabhi ek tasveer sirf yaadon ka tukda nahi hoti... ek poori journey ko samet leti hai. Yeh picture humari Bhooth Bangla ki shoot se hai...Asrani ji ke saath meri second last film. Total 12 films humne saath ki, aur har ek mein maine unse kuch naya seekha... it was like a masterclass every single time. Comedy itni aasaan lagti thi jab woh karte the, lekin asal mein woh ek mushkil kala hai. Asrani ji uske ustad the aur hamesha rahenge. Bhooth Bangla kal release ho rahi hai... mere liye yeh sirf ek film nahi, ek yaad hai... ek tribute hai... ek salute hai uss legend ko. Asrani ji, aap hamesha yaad aayenge"
