Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 12 (Evening Trend): Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar's first release of 2026, records a sharp fall in box office numbers on its second Monday in India. The film is a horror comedy and arrives with high expectations, as it reunites Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after a long break of 14 years. Bhooth Bangla also marks Priyadarshan's return to the Bollywood horror comedy space after 19 years. Along with Akshay Kumar, the cast includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, Paresh Rawal, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani. The film carries added emotional value for viewers because it features Asrani's final performance on screen.

Bhooth Bangla started with mixed reviews from critics and the audience. Collections were reasonable in the opening weekend but dipped through the weekdays. During the second weekend, Bhooth Bangla managed to gain some momentum again. However, that recovery did not last, as the second Monday saw a major decline. The project has drawn attention for pairing Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi for the first time, with their new chemistry becoming a talking point. Bhooth Bangla is also Akshay Kumar's comeback to the horror comedy genre after 5 years. With so many factors, the film was counted among 2026's most awaited releases.

Bhooth Bangla Evening Occupancy Day 12

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla picked up pace on the second Tuesday and recorded an occupancy of 14.46% during the evening shows on day 12.

To note, Bhoot Bangla witnessed a hike in collections and earned Rs 3.39cr until 8pm taking to the total collection to Rs 120.44cr. Interestingly, it will be interesting to see if Bhooth Bangla will touch Rs 125cr mark in India today

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Bollywood Life, director Priyadarshan spoke about the comparisons between Bhooth Bangla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa and stated, "This is completely different because the only nostalgia you get is because of these actors. Otherwise, that was a psychological thriller (Bhool Bhulaiyaa) and Bhoot Bangla is complete fantasy, like, will it happen or not? It could happen, or it could not happen. Bhoot Bangla is inspired by what we have in our folklore, mythology and superstitions".
