Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 13 (Evening Trend): Bhooth Bangla, a horror comedy headlined by Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi, becomes Akshay Kumar's first release of 2026 and returns Akshay Kumar to the horror comedy space after 5 years. The film opened to mixed reviews yet logged a decent start at the Indian box office, before a sharp fall on its second Monday. Trade reports note that Bhooth Bangla struggled through weekdays after release, though collections improved during the second weekend as word of mouth slowly grew. Expectations had been high before release, as Bhooth Bangla was counted among the year's most anticipated titles, which adds extra focus to the current box office trend.

Alongside Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhooth Bangla features Jisshu Sengupta, Paresh Rawal, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani in lead roles. The project carries emotional weight for fans because it marks Asrani's last onscreen appearance. This ensemble supports the horror comedy tone while also anchoring the emotional arcs in the story. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla witnessed a dip in footfalls and recorded an occupancy of 12.08% during the evening shows on day 13 (second Wednesday)

To note, Bhooth Bangla has also been struggling at the box office and struggled to touch Rs 3cr today day 13 (second Wednesday). In fact, it made a collection of Rs 2.45cr until 8pm today taking the overall collection to Rs 123.65cr

Meanwhile, Jisshu Sengupta opened up about working with Priyadarshan in Bhooth Bangla and told IANS, "The first couple of days, I was really wouldn't say I was tense, but I was, you know, working with "THE" Priyadarshan. On the set, he is a very chilled-out director. He has fun and takes advice from everyone".
