Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 2 (Evening Trend): Akshay's Film Sees Hike In Footfalls; Beats Dhurandhar 2 Today
Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 2 (Evening Trend): Akshay Kumar's horror comedy Bhooth Bangla is drawing strong attention as Akshay's first 2026 release. The film has sparked steady conversation since announcement, and latest reports suggest evening shows saw better footfall. Early trends hint at growing curiosity, even as overall reactions stay mixed. A major draw for Bhooth Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after 16 years. Priyadarshan last teamed up with Akshay for the 2010 release Khatta Meetha. The filmmaker is also returning to the Bollywood horror comedy space after 19 years, while Akshay revisits this genre after six years.

Along with Akshay leading the narrative, Bhooth Bangla features Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Mithila Palkar, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in prominent roles. The project carries additional emotional weight, as it marks late veteran actor Asrani's final onscreen performance, adding a layer of nostalgia for long-time viewers. With nostalgia around the Priyadarshan-Akshay pairing, the presence of a seasoned ensemble, and strong interest in Asrani's last appearance, Bhooth Bangla remains under close watch. The film has already generated considerable buzz, and its evening uptick suggests audiences may keep testing the horror comedy over the coming days.
