The project feels emotional for many, since it becomes veteran actor Asrani's final theatrical film. It also offers Akshay Kumar a first on-screen pairing with Wamiqa Gabbi. Beyond the line-up, the film marks Priyadarshan's return to Hindi horror comedy 19 years after "Bhool Bhulaiyaa". That earlier title shaped expectations for spooky humour in mainstream cinema. "Bhooth Bangla" now arrives under that long shadow. For Akshay Kumar, the project also ends a five-year gap from this genre. The horror comedy has quickly become a trending Bollywood topic, despite heavy chatter around Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar 2". Social media posts show fans saying they "can't keep calm" about the actor-director reunion and new genre outing.

Bhooth Bangla Morning Occupancy Day 5

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla, which recorded an occupancy of 8.62% during morning shows on day 4, saw a slight hike in struggles despite the struggles and recorded an occupancy of 8.85% on day 5 (first Tuesday). While facing a strong competition with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 which is in the 5th week, Bhooth Bangla managed to beat the espionage thriller's morning occupancy today which was 8.31%.

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 5 (Morning Trend)

Bhooth Bangla continues to face a tough run at the box office, despite a minor rise in audience numbers on its first Tuesday. The film has earned Rs 1.75 crore from morning shows up to 1 pm on day 5. These early Tuesday figures take Bhooth Bangla's total box office collection to Rs 66.5 crore so far. The slight increase in footfalls offers some relief, yet the film still appears to be struggling to build stronger weekday momentum.

Meanwhile, as Wamiqa Gabbi has been facing frequent comparisons with Aishwarya Rai, Akshay came out in defence of his Bhooth Bangla star during a chat with Shubhankar Mishra and stated, "Her (Wamiqa's) eyes are like Aishwarya Rai's, but she has her own identity. She is doing things her own way. She entered the film industry after a lot of struggle. She worked in Punjabi films, and now she is working across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil cinema, exploring every genre".
