Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 7 (Morning Trend): Akshay’s Film Sees Dip; Struggles To Earn 1cr
Bhooth Bangla Box Office Day 7 (Morning Trend): Akshay Kumar returns to horror comedy with Bhooth Bangla, which reached cinemas on April 17. The film reteams Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after 14 years. Bhooth Bangla opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Early box office numbers were strong, but momentum weakened during weekdays. Akshay Kumar, known for sharp comic timing, has built a strong following in light-hearted roles. With Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar has previously delivered popular titles such as Hera Pheri, Khatta Meetha, Bhagam Bhag, Garam Masala and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Bhooth Bangla is the duo's latest project in this space.

The movie is Priyadarshan's second attempt at a horror comedy format. Bhooth Bangla also marks Akshay's first return to this genre in 5 years. The ensemble cast features Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, Jisshu Sengupta, Paresh Rawal, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav, bringing varied styles of humour to the story. Another key talking point is Akshay's first on-screen pairing with Wamiqa, whose fresh chemistry has drawn attention. Bhooth Bangla also becomes late actor Asrani's final big-screen role. Despite the solid opening weekend, trade reports suggest the film is now struggling to sustain box office numbers through the week.
Bhooth Bangla Morning Occupancy Day 7
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla, which recorded an occupancy of 7.77% during morning shows on day 6, saw a dip in occupancy and recorded a footfall of 6.31% on day 7 (first Thursday). While facing a strong competition with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 which is in the 5th week, Bhooth Bangla managed to beat the espionage thriller's morning occupancy today which was 6.08%.
Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 7 (Morning Trend)
To note, with a dip in footfalls, Bhooth Bangla seems to be struggling at the box office on its first Thursday and failed to earn Rs 1cr from morning shows. In fact, it made a collection of Rs 0.80cr today (day 7/ first Thursday) until 1pm during the morning shows taking the overall earnings to Rs 79.7cr.
Meanwhile, as Bhooth Bangla marks late actor Asrani's last appearance on the big screen, Akshay Kumar paid a tribute to the legendary actor and wrote, "Kabhi kabhi ek tasveer sirf yaadon ka tukda nahi hoti... ek poori journey ko samet leti hai. Yeh picture humari Bhooth Bangla ki shoot se hai...Asrani ji ke saath meri second last film. Total 12 films humne saath ki, aur har ek mein maine unse kuch naya seekha... it was like a masterclass every single time. Comedy itni aasaan lagti thi jab woh karte the, lekin asal mein woh ek mushkil kala hai. Asrani ji uske ustad the aur hamesha rahenge. Bhooth Bangla kal release ho rahi hai... mere liye yeh sirf ek film nahi, ek yaad hai... ek tribute hai... ek salute hai uss legend ko. Asrani ji, aap hamesha yaad aayenge"
