Sacnilk reports that Bhooth Bangla has earned Rs 199.56cr globally during its 13 days in cinemas. Overseas earnings slowed on day 13, the second Wednesday, when Bhooth Bangla added Rs 75 lakhs. Sacnilk notes this was its weakest foreign day, pushing overseas totals to Rs 51.50cr.

Interestingly, Bhooth Bangla has entered the coveted Rs 200cr club at the worldwide box office in 14 days. Given the ongoing trend, Bhoot Bangla will be struggling to touch Rs 210cr in two weeks and is likely to inch close to Rs 205cr.

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Bollywood Life, director Priyadarshan spoke about the comparisons between Bhooth Bangla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa and stated, "This is completely different because the only nostalgia you get is because of these actors. Otherwise, that was a psychological thriller (Bhool Bhulaiyaa) and Bhoot Bangla is complete fantasy, like, will it happen or not? It could happen, or it could not happen. Bhoot Bangla is inspired by what we have in our folklore, mythology and superstitions".
