Bhooth Bangla Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar has collaborated with Wamiqa Gabbi for the first time and fans can't keep calm about this new jodi. We are talking about Bhooth Bangla which is a horror comedy and is helmed by Priyadarshan. To note, the movie marks Akshay and Priyadarshan's much talked about reunion after 14 years which has added to the fans' excitement. This isn't all. Bhooth Bangla also marks Akshay's return to horror comedy genre after 5 years.

On the other hand, Bhooth Bangla marks Priyadarshan's second Bollywood horror comedy and also marks the filmmaker's return to Bollywood after five years. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 9.5cr in the overseas market on day 1 (first Friday). On the other hand, the opening day worldwide collection of the movie turned out to be Rs 28.7cr

With a collection of Rs 9.5cr on day 1 in the overseas market, Bhooth Bangla failed to beat Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which had earned Rs 10.5cr in the overseas on the opening day.

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Bollywood Life, director Priyadarshan spoke about the comparisons between Bhooth Bangla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa and stated, "This is completely different because the only nostalgia you get is because of these actors. Otherwise, that was a psychological thriller (Bhool Bhulaiyaa) and Bhoot Bangla is complete fantasy, like, will it happen or not? It could happen, or it could not happen. Bhoot Bangla is inspired by what we have in our folklore, mythology and superstitions".
