Bhooth Bangla Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar has returned to horror comedy with Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, after a five-year break from this genre. The film also reunites Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan on a Hindi project after 14 years, reviving a partnership that had earlier attracted strong interest from Hindi film viewers. Bhooth Bangla released worldwide on 17 April, opening on a large number of screens in India and overseas markets. Despite strong pre-release buzz and expectations linked to its scale, early international box office numbers have stayed below projections, drawing attention to how the film will perform over the coming weeks.

The project has also drawn curiosity because Bhooth Bangla pairs Akshay Kumar with Wamiqa Gabbi for the first time. Viewers are watching how this new on-screen combination works within a horror comedy setup. Alongside the lead pair, the film features Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles. For Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla is the second horror comedy made in Bollywood, and marks a return to mixing humour with supernatural themes. The project also signals Priyadarshan's comeback to Hindi cinema after a five-year pause. The director's last Bollywood release was Hungama 2 in 2021, which stayed within straight comedy.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla saw its first dip in the collection in the overseas market and earned Rs 9cr on day 3 (first Sunday). This took the overall overseas collection to Rs 28.50cr after the opening weekend.

On the other hand, Bhooth Bangla made a total worldwide collection failed to enter the coveted Rs 100cr club during the first weekend. To note, the total collection of Akshay's film emerged as Rs 97.87cr after three days of release.

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Bollywood Life, director Priyadarshan spoke about the comparisons between Bhooth Bangla and Bhool Bhulaiyaa and stated, "This is completely different because the only nostalgia you get is because of these actors. Otherwise, that was a psychological thriller (Bhool Bhulaiyaa) and Bhoot Bangla is complete fantasy, like, will it happen or not? It could happen, or it could not happen. Bhoot Bangla is inspired by what we have in our folklore, mythology and superstitions".
