Border 2 Advance Booking Collection (2 Days Before Release): Border 2 is shaping up as a major Hindi film release, aiming to revive the patriotic feeling linked to JP Dutta's 1997 Border. The new film returns to the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war and seeks to connect with viewers who admired the original story of courage and duty. The ensemble cast is led by Sunny Deol, who again plays a brave officer, echoing the spirit that made Border popular. Varun Dhawan joins in a tense, dramatic role, while Diljit Dosanjh shares the screen with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan for the first time. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Border 2, which is scheduled to release on January 23, 2026, has witnessed a good response in terms of advance booking. The movie has minted Rs 3.48cr gross with a sale of over 1.08 lakh tickets. The number happens to be Rs 6.73cr with blocked serats

Interestingly, with a collection of Rs 3.48cr from advance booking, Border 2 has managed to create two records at the box office. While it has recorded the highest advance booking collection of 2026 so far and has also recorded the second highest advance booking collection for Sunny Deol after Gadar 2.

Interestingly, Border 2 is having a strong hold at the box office when it comes to advance booking and is eyeing to beat Dhurandhar presales which happens to be Rs 9.23cr

Meanwhile, talking about Border 2, Sunny Deol stated in an event, "Whenever you wear the uniform there's an excitement that you feel and you feel you are also a soldier. We don't train like soldiers but we carry the same emotions inside us. It's just that we get the opportunity to essay the character of a soldier and 99 percent times it is the uniform that give us the strength to play the part, besides we've to add certain things from our end".
