Border 2 Advance Booking Collection (Australia): Border 2 is gearing up for release, with advance booking now open for cinema audiences. The war drama reaches theatres on January 23, 2026, and is already drawing attention. The film arrives nearly three decades after Border and aims to tap strong nostalgia. The story unfolds during the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and focuses on Indian defence forces. Lead characters represent the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy, uniting across services. Early chatter online credits the trailer, the music and the ensemble cast for building strong buzz.

For the uninitiated, Border, released in 1997 and directed by JP Dutta, became a major hit. The multi-starrer war film later gained cult status on television re-runs and streaming platforms. Meanwhile, talking about Border 2, Sunny Deol stated in an event, "Whenever you wear the uniform there's an excitement that you feel and you feel you are also a soldier. We don't train like soldiers but we carry the same emotions inside us. It's just that we get the opportunity to essay the character of a soldier and 99 percent times it is the uniform that give us the strength to play the part, besides we've to add certain things from our end".
