Border 2 Australia Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Sunny’s Film To Mint Twice The Collection Of Gadar 2
Border 2 Australia Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Border 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border, releases today, January 23, 2026, perfectly timed for the Republic Day extended weekend, igniting patriotic fervor across India. Directed by Anurag Singh, this multi-front war epic expands on J.P. Dutta's original by depicting the 1971 Indo-Pak War across land, air, and sea, honoring real-life heroes from the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. Advance bookings shattered records, surpassing Dhurandhar, signaling massive Day 1 openings and early positive reviews praising Sunny Deol's vintage roar and the ensemble's power.

Sunny Deol is seen playing the role of Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, the commanding officer and mentor figure who anchors the narrative from start to finish. Varun Dhawan portrays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a Param Vir Chakra awardee who captures Jarpal village amid intense tank battles; Diljit Dosanjh embodies Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, the Air Force's sole PVC recipient; and Ahan Shetty plays Lt Cdr Mahendra Rawat (or Joseph Noronha in some credits), leading naval operations. Supporting roles feature Sonam Bajwa as Manjit Kaur opposite Diljit, Medha Rana as Dhano Devi paired with Varun, alongside Mona Singh. Interestingly, Border 2 is expected to see a good start not just in India but in Australia as well
