Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: The 77th Republic Day celebrations in India turned out to be a game changing moment at the box office recently and there are no second thoughts about it. After all, the recent and the biggest release of the year so far - Border 2 - has managed to create a massive wave at the box office. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is the much talked about sequel to the 1997 release Border and is produced by JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta along with Bhushan Kumar. For the uninitiated, Border 2 is a war drama based on the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

While Border 2 marks Sunny Deol's return to the Border franchise after almost 30 years, it also features stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa in the lead. To note, Diljit was seen playing the role of Indian Air Force officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon while Varun Dhawan was seen as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya and both of them has left a mark with their stellar acting. Released ahead of the Republic Day, Border 2 had managed to create a lot of buzz and opened to mixed reviews from the audience. In fact, it has been creating new records at the box office every single day.

After witnessing a good hike during the opening weekend, Border 2 maintained a solid hold at the box office on first Monday (day 4) owing to the Republic Day celebrations. While there were speculations about Border 2 touching Rs 200cr mark during the extended weekend, as per Sacnilk, Border 2 earned Rs 56cr on day 4 (first Monday). This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 177cr after 4 days of collection

Border 2 Records Second Highest 1st Monday Collection

With a collection of Rs 56cr, Border 2 recorded the second highest 1st Monday collection after beating Pushpa 2 (Rs 46.4cr) and also recorded the third highest day 4 collection after Pushpa 2 and Jawan. This isn't all. Border 2 has also recorded the 7th highest 4 days collection in India.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction

Given the fact that it is a working day, Border 2 is expected to see its first dip in numbers on day 5 (first Tuesday). After a thunderous performance during the extended weekend, Border 2 is expected to see a massive dip of around 50% and is likely to earn Rs 20-25cr. In fact, Border 2 is expected to enter Rs 200cr club on day 5.

Meanwhile, Border 2 has been going strong at the worldwide box office and has already entered the coveted Rs 200cr club on day 4. It will be interesting to see what more milestones it will create in the coming days.
