Border 2 Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Will Sunny's Film Beat Pathaan & Become Highest Republic Day Opener?|EXC
Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Sunny Deol has returned to cinemas with Border 2, a war drama carrying strong nostalgia and box-office expectations. The sequel to the 1997 Border releases worldwide, with industry trackers watching its first-day overseas numbers closely as interest grows among audiences familiar with the original film's legacy. Trade sources expect Border 2 to draw strong crowds in key national and international markets, especially where Hindi films usually perform well. Advance buzz suggests solid initial occupancy, helped by Sunny Deol's recent career upswing and long-standing appeal among viewers who enjoy patriotic action dramas.

Interestingly, Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh and set during the India-Pakistan war of 1971, mirroring the conflict backdrop of the earlier film. Producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta aim to reconnect fans of the first Border while presenting the story to a younger generation discovering the franchise. Sunny Deol plays Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, leading a cast that includes Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh. The film also leans on musical nostalgia, with much-loved tracks such as 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' and 'Jaate Hue Lamhon' brought back in refreshed form. Given the buzz around Border 2, there have been speculations about how it will fare at the box office in India
