Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, it tells a gripping story set during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Fans went wild with buzz even before release, thanks to the trailer packed with patriotism, emotional songs like remixed "Ghar Kab Aaoge," and massive action scenes shot at real army bases. Advance bookings soared, with midnight shows added due to hype around Sunny Deol's powerful return post-Gadar 2. The film opened strong at over Rs 32 crore on day one. On the other hand, audience reactions poured in mixed but mostly positive on social media. Many praised Sunny's commanding screen time, Varun's intense climax, goosebump dialogues, and heartfelt tribute to real soldiers like PVC winners. Critics gave it 3.5 to 4.5 stars, calling it a thunderous epic with solid action and emotion, though some noted weak VFX and long runtime. In fact, Border 2 witnessed a good start at the box office.

Meanwhile, as Border 2 has hit the theatres, Suniel Shetty has penned a special note and wrote, "My Sun, today I must tell you that for me, Border was never just a film I acted in. It became a responsibility I carried long after the cameras stopped rolling. Years later, watching you wear the uniform brings it full circle - not as nostalgia, but as a reminder. Of discipline. Sacrifice. Silence. Courage. Tis film isn't about glory. This film isn't about war. It's a reminder of why peace exists. A border isn't where the country ends - it's where courage begins. And some stories don't stay on screen - they stay in the spine of a nation. May we never forget what that uniform truly stands for. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat".
