Border 2 Box Office Day 4 (Early Trend): Varun's Film Sees Good Jump; Beats SRK's Film's Lifetime Collection
Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 4 Early Trend: Varun Dhawan is all over the headlines and rightfully so. The actor, who was known for his humour, comic timings and dance, is now creating waves for his recent release which presents him in a never seen before avatar. We are talking about Border 2 wherein Varun Dhawan is seen playing the role of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya and he has left everyone mighty impressed with his performance in the war drama. To note, War 2, which is helmed by Anurag Singh happens to be the sequel to the 1997 release War.

Apart from Varun Dhawan, War 2 also stars Sunny Deol, who has returned to the franchise after almost 3 decades, along with Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Mona Singh. Based on the 1971 India-Pakistan War, Border 2 has bee one of the most anticipated releases of the year given the phenomenal success of Border. While the stellar cast and trailer created a massive buzz around Border 2, the revival of popular numbers as 'Sandese Aate Hain' 'Aye Jaate Huye Lamhon' has added to the emotional connection to the film. Border 2 Evening Occupancy Day 4
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Border 2 has managed to pass the Monday test with flying colours owing to the 77th Republic Day celebrations. As per Sacnilk, after recording the second highest morning occupancy on Republic Day, Border 2 saw a hike in footfalls in the evening and recorded an occupancy of 79.90% on day 4 (first Monday). Interestingly, Border 2 has managed to beat the evening occupancy of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar on day 4 which was 37.71%.

Given the strong hold of Border 2, the movie minted Rs 47cr until 7:30 pm today (Day 4/ first Monday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 168cr. Interestingly, Border 2 has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan starrer popular film Dilwale (Rs 158cr). In fact, Border 2 has emerged as Varun Dhawan's highest grosser of all times.
Meanwhile, Border 2 has surpassed the lifetime worldwide collection of Jaat in three days and is eyeing to touch Rs 200cr mark at the worldwide box office.
