Border 2 Box Office Day 6 (Morning Trend): Sunny Deol, who had once ruled hearts with his stint in the 1997 release Border as Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, is back to the franchise after almost 3 decades with a sequel. We are talking about Border 2 which is a war drama based on the 1971 India vs Pakistan war. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features Sunny Deol in the role of Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler and his first look and his dialogues have left the audience in absolute awe as it instills them with a feeling of patriotism and pride.

Interestingly, Border 2 also features a stellar cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Varun Dhawan, Medha Rana, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh etc. The movie highlighted the valour if Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy and served as a perfect tribute to the martyred soldiers. Released amid a massive buzz, Border 2 opened to decent reviews and witnessed a thunderous response during the weekend especially on the 77th Republic Day celebration. However, it seems to be witnessing a dip in numbers post the extended weekend

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Border 2 saw a dip of 33% in footfalls during the morning shows and recorded a morning occupancy of 7.52% today (day 6/ first Wednesday)

Border 2 Fails To Beat Dhurandhar Occupancy On Day 6

With an occupancy of 7.52%, Border 2 has failed to beat Dhurandhar and Gadar 2 which recorded a footfall of 17.73% and 28.5% respectively on the 6th day of release.

It is reported that Border 2 saw a shocking decline in numbers especially during the morning shows. According to a report in Sacnilk, Border 2 was seen struggling to earn Rs 1cr during the morning shows and earned Rs 83 lakhs until 12:30pm on dya 6 (first Wednesday). This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 200.83cr.

Meanwhile, Border 2 has emerged as Sunny Deol's second highest grossing movie so far along with becoming highest grossing film for Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty. It will be interesting to see if Border 2 can cross Rs 250cr mark in first week at the Indian box office.
