Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 7 Prediction: Remember the 1997 release Border? The war drama starring Sunny Deol in the lead was helmed by JP Dutta and was a massive hit which became a cult classic. Now after almost thirty years, Sunny Deol is back to the franchise with Border 2 which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is based on the 1971 India vs Pakistan war and came with a stellar cast of Sunny, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana and Anya Singh.

For the uninitiated, Sunny Deol plays the role of Indian Army officer Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, Diljit Dosanjh as Indian Air Force officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, Ahan Shetty as Indian Navy officer Lt Cdr Mahendra Singh Rawat. To note, the movie marks Sunny's first collaboration with Diljit, Varun and Ahan. Interestingly, Border 2 has opened to rave reviews and became the first movie of the year to cross Rs 200cr mark at the box office in India and across the world

Border 2, saw a dip of 33% in numbers on day 6 (first Wednesday) and earned Rs 13cr at the box office. This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 213cr after 6 days of release

As Border 2 is completing a week of release, there have been speculations about Border 2 touching Rs 250cr in week. However, as per the recent trends, Border 2 will be seen struggling to touch Rs 250cr nett in India. Instead, it will be seen inching close to Rs 230cr only
