Chand Mera Dil Box Office Collection Day 4: Ananya's Film Sees 47% Dip; Fails To Touch 15Cr On 1st Monday
Chand Mera Dil Box Office Collection Day 4: Campus romance drama Chand Mera Dil emerged as one of early 2026's most debated Hindi releases, yet its theatrical performance stayed weak. Despite strong tracking from trade experts, the film opened to a mixed critical reception and a disappointing initial box office, surprising many who had marked it as a crucial first-quarter title. Directed by Vivek Soni, Chand Mera Dil centred on a love story set within an engineering college. Ananya Panday, Lakshya and Aastha Singh led the cast. Industry observers viewed the project as a mainstream launchpad for Lakshya and Aastha Singh, while also adding another significant credit to Ananya Panday's expanding line-up.

The narrative followed Chandni, portrayed by Ananya Panday, and Aarav, played by Lakshya, who met as students on campus. Their relationship intensified quickly, then ran into strain as practical concerns surfaced. Career choices, family expectations and personal ambition started to clash with their early ideas of romance, pushing both characters to reassess what commitment meant during college years. Aastha Singh and Resad Ajim completed the inner circle around the couple in Chand Mera Dil, with their roles designed to show different reactions to ambition and attachment. The film arrived after Ananya Panday's packed 2025, which featured Kesari Chapter 2 and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, positioning Chand Mera Dil as another notable step for everyone involved, despite its underwhelming commercial opening.

Chand Mera Dil Fails To Beat Saiyaara Day 4 Collection
As Chand Mera Dil has been facing comparisons with Saiyaara, this Ananya starrer has minted over 12 times less than Ahan Panday and Aneet Padda's romantic drama. For the uninitiated, Saiyaara had minted Rs 24cr on its 4th day.
Meanwhile, talking about working with Ananya, Lakshya told, "She is very giving. She is a wonderful human being. It's very easy to work with her and it's very easy to communicate with her. Before every scene, we talk and discuss. It doesn't feel as if I am working with someone who has fame. She doesn't take herself very seriously, which is absolutely amazing about her".
