Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Day 10 (Early Trend): Shahid’s Film Holds Fort; Eyes To Cross 100cr Today
Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Day 10 (Early Trend): Shahid Kapoor's latest screen outing, Cocktail 2, has kept entertainment circles busy, with the film drawing attention for its casting, music and early box office hold. The Homi Adajania directorial brings Shahid together with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time, while Kriti Sanon returns to work with the filmmaker after their earlier collaboration. The film has been billed as a follow-up to the 2012 romantic drama Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. This time, the conversation has largely centred on Shahid and Rashmika's fresh pairing, with early viewers discussing their on-screen chemistry across social media.

Kriti Sanon's character Ally has also become a talking point, with some viewers comparing her energy to Deepika Padukone's Veronica from the original film. While such comparisons are expected with a sequel, the new film appears to be aiming for its own identity through a different cast dynamic. Cocktail 2 opened to mixed reactions, but its songs have helped keep audience interest alive. After a strong start, the film is said to be maintaining steady momentum through its second weekend, adding another closely watched release to Shahid Kapoor's 2026 slate after O'Romeo.

After a very long time, I'm playing someone who isn't alpha, edgy or morally grey. He's warm, relatable and genuinely likeable. Initially, I thought I'd get bored because I've done this space before, but I was also getting tired of constantly playing complicated characters".
