Cocktail 2 Box Office Day 3: Shahid’s Film Records Highest Single Day Number; Did It Touch 60Cr In Weekend?

Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Day 3: Shahid Kapoor's massive fan following has all the reasons to grin from ear to ear and rightfully so. After an impressive performance in O'Romeo earlier this year, Shahid is now creating waves for his recent release which is all over the headlines. We are talking about Cocktail 2 which is a romantic comedy drama and is helmed by Homi Adajania. To note, Cocktail 2 is a much awaited spiritual sequel to the 2012 release Cocktail which featured Diana Penty, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

Interestingly, apart from Shahid, Cocktail 2 also features Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon in the lead. The movie marks Shahid's first collaboration with Rashmika and their fresh chemistry has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs. On the other hand, Shahid and Kriti have shared the screen for the second time after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and it is a treat to watch them in one frame. After witnessing a decent opening at the Indian box office, Cocktail 2 picked up pace during the opening weekend.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Cocktail 2 witnessed a slight growth in collection of 9.2% and earned Rs 17.75cr on day 3. This took the overall nett collection of Cocktail 2 to Rs 47.50cr while the gross collection of the movie to Rs 57cr.

Cocktail 2 Beats Cocktail Opening Weekend Collection

Interestingly, Cocktail 2 minted Rs 34cr (including Rs 16.25cr on Saturday and Rs 17.75cr on Sunday) and it has managed to beat the opening weekend collection of Cocktail which was Rs 26.43cr.

Meanwhile, talking about working with Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika stated, "There's no dull moment with him.. he would always make sure all of us are happy, smiling and taken care of. he's just that kind of a person you know you're going to have a good time when you go to the set with him.. it was really nice working with him and i really hope I get to work with him againn.
