Cocktail 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna have collaborated for the first time in Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2 and we can't keep calm about this fresh pairing. The movie is a romantic comedy drama and the much awaited spiritual sequel to the 2012 release Cocktail which featured Saif Ali Khan, Diana Penty and Deepika Padukone. Apart from Shahid and Rashmika, Cocktail 2 also features Kriti Sanon in the lead and it has undoubtedly been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Interestingly, Cocktail 2 marks Shahid's second collaboration with Kriti after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and watching them share the screen again has been a sheer treat. From the hype around the franchise, to the fresh cast and peppy songs, Cocktail 2 has undoubtedly been creating waves ever since it was announced and it did open to rave reviews. And while it managed to earn Rs 13.5cr on day 1 in India, Cocktail 2 even saw a decent start in the overseas and at the worldwide box office as well

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Cocktail 2 made a collection of Rs 4cr in the overseas on day 1 and managed to beat the opening day overseas collection of Rashmika's previous Bollywood release Thamma which was Rs 2cr

On the other hand, Cocktail 2 made a worldwide collection of Rs 20.2cr on its day of release which is undoubtedly a good start.

Meanwhile, talking about working with Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika stated, "There's no dull moment with him.. he would always make sure all of us are happy, smiling and taken care of. he's just that kind of a person you know you're going to have a good time when you go to the set with him.. it was really nice working with him and i really hope I get to work with him againn. Meanwhile, as there are reports about Cocktail 2 featuring Kriti and Rashmika as lovers, the Mimi actress, during the recent promotions clarified, "There is no lesbian story. I know, we do have that chemistry. We are three straight people, guys. It's only an emotional threesome, not physical".
