Daadi Ki Shaadi Box Office Collection Day 1: Kapil-Neetu's Film Sees A Disappointing Start; Fails To Earn 1Cr
Daadi Ki Shaadi Box Office Collection Day 1: Comedy drama Daadi Ki Shaadi opened in cinemas on 8 May but faced a weak start. The film had almost no competition from other major releases before or after its launch. Even with this clear run, Daadi Ki Shaadi struggled to pull audiences on its first day at the box office. At the centre of Daadi Ki Shaadi is an elderly woman who chooses to remarry despite family resistance. Her bold step triggers confusion and arguments among relatives, mixing emotional conflict with light humour. The story aims to blend family drama with situational comedy, appealing to viewers across age groups.

The film is directed by Ashish R Mohan and brings veteran actor Neetu Singh back to theatres. Neetu Singh was last seen on the big screen in the 2022 release Jug Jugjugge Jeeyo. This return has drawn interest from long-time fans, who are keen to watch Neetu Singh in a prominent role again. Kapil Sharma leads the ensemble that also includes R Sharath Kumar, Sadia Khateeb, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Yograj Singh. Daadi Ki Shaadi is Kapil Sharma's first theatrical release of the year and the comedian's first big screen collaboration with Neetu Kapoor. Early buzz from the trailer was strong, yet the opening collection stayed under expectations.

Meanwhile, talking about working with Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni in Daadi Ki Shaadi, Sadia Khateeb told Zoom, "The experience of shooting this film was the best experience of my life. I am thrilled and happy to be a part of this story. And to be working with people like Neetu ma'am, Kapil Sharma, Aditi Mittal, Riddhima, I only feel grateful because I had a great experience. It was beautiful. I didn't feel like I was working. I was literally with my family. At that place (Shimla), it was my second home. The set felt like home. The people I worked with felt like my family".
