Dhurandhar 2 Week 1 Box Office Collection: Ranveer's Film Creates 9 Records In 7 Days In India & Worldwide
Dhurandhar 2 has stormed the box office, racing past key milestones within days of release. The Aditya Dhar film has earned Rs 623.42 crore net and Rs 744.58 crore gross in India in its first seven days, while overseas business stands at Rs 261.92 crore, taking its worldwide total to Rs 1,006.50 crore.

Released in cinemas on March 19, Dhurandhar 2 features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun in lead roles. Arriving just three months after Dhurandhar, the sequel has delivered stronger numbers than the first film, with trade sources describing its theatrical hold as far superior across formats and regions.
Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Records In Week 1
* According to data from Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 has joined the global Rs 1,000 crore club within a week. The film has reached Rs 1,006.50 crore worldwide, making it the second-fastest title after Pushpa 2 to clear this mark. Pushpa 2 finished its run with Rs 1,011 crore, leaving Dhurandhar 2 close behind already.
* With these figures, Dhurandhar 2 has become the 10th Indian film to reach the Rs 1,000 crore worldwide bracket. The performance highlights strong repeat viewings in India and steady ticket sales overseas. Trade analysts note that the film’s pace in the opening phase gives it a solid platform for the weeks ahead.
* On home turf, Dhurandhar 2 has logged the biggest first-week Indian gross for a Bollywood production, collecting Rs 745 crore. No previous Hindi film has managed such domestic revenue within seven days. The net figure of Rs 623.42 crore confirms wide acceptance in both metros and smaller centres.
* Overseas, Dhurandhar 2 has also set a fresh opening benchmark for Indian cinema, with collections of Rs 261.92 crore in its initial week. This gives the film the highest overseas gross for an Indian title in its early run, strengthening its overall worldwide total and underlining its reach beyond the domestic market.
* Dhurandhar 2 began its theatrical journey with a very strong first day on March 19. The film earned Rs 102.55 crore net in India on Thursday alone. When paid previews are included, its Day 1 domestic total climbs to Rs 145.55 crore, setting the tone for the dominant first-week figures that followed. The record run actually started a day earlier with paid previews on March 18 after 5 pm. These early shows generated Rs 43 crore from more than 12,700 screenings across India. That number has made Dhurandhar 2 the highest preview-day earner recorded, overtaking They Call Him OG, which collected Rs 25 crore from previews.
* The Hindi version has been the primary driver of Dhurandhar 2’s earnings. On its opening day, the Hindi release alone collected Rs 99.10 crore, giving it the biggest Day 1 for a Hindi-language film. Pushpa 2 previously held this record with Rs 70.30 crore in Hindi on release day, which Dhurandhar 2 has comfortably surpassed.
* Dhurandhar 2’s first-week Hindi net stands at Rs 546.04 crore, the highest-ever single-language Hindi collection in an opening week. This surpasses Pushpa 2’s Hindi version, which generated approximately Rs 425 crore in seven days. The data confirms a clear shift towards stronger initial demand for the sequel among Hindi audiences.
* Advance bookings for Dhurandhar 2 created a strong foundation. The film sold about 925,000 tickets in advance across national cinema chains, which is the highest pre-release ticket count recorded for a film in India. This advance ensured heavy occupancy from the first shows onwards, helping the film absorb regional operational challenges.
| Film | Advance tickets sold (national chains) |
|---|---|
| Dhurandhar 2 | 925,000 |
| Baahubali 2 (Hindi) | 650,000 |
| Stree 2 | 565,000 |
| Jawan | 557,000 |
| Pathaan | 556,000 |
* The sequel has also brought career highs for key names involved. Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025, opened in the Rs 27–28 crore range. In contrast, Dhurandhar 2 earned nearly four times that amount on Day 1 alone, giving Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar their strongest opening figures to date.
Dhurandhar 2 continues the story of Ranveer Singh’s Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Sher-e-Baloch, charting the rise to becoming the unquestioned ruler of Lyari. The narrative tracks the transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi to Hamza, who enters Pakistan as a spy to avenge terror attacks carried out in India.
The film has been released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam—supporting its wide box office footprint. With its first-week collections, Dhurandhar 2 has established itself as a major performer across territories, setting several new records while maintaining strong momentum after an already successful first instalment.
