Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Box Office Collection Day 4: Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai enjoyed a decent opening weekend at the box office and emerged as one of the most talked-about Hindi releases of the week. The romantic comedy was directed by David Dhawan and produced by Ramesh Taurani. The film starred Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, while Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Sheirgill, Chunky Panday, Mouni Roy, and Ali Asgar appeared in supporting parts. The movie carried the trademark David Dhawan style of comedy, romance, confusion, and family entertainment and also marks the ace filmmaker's last directorial.

Interestingly, audiences were attracted by the fresh pairing of Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, along with the film's colorful songs and light-hearted storyline. Despite facing competition from other releases, the film managed to draw family audiences during its first weekend. At the Indian box office, the film opened with a net collection of Rs 7.50 crore on Day 1. It maintained the same figure on Day 2 and witnessed growth on Sunday by collecting Rs 9 crore. As a result, its three-day India net collection reached Rs 24 crore. The film's India gross collection stood at approximately Rs 28.80 crore after three days.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai saw a dip of over 61% in numbers and earned Rs 3.5cr on its day 4 (first Monday) which took the overall collection to Rs 27.5cr

With a collection of Rs 3.5cr on 1st Monday, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has managed to beat the collection of Varun and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which happened to be Rs 3.25cr
Meanwhile, recalling her first meeting with David Dhawan, Mrunal stated, "When I first met David Dhawan ji over a cup of chai, I had no idea what the film was, who the hero was, or what the story was. I think during that 45-minute conversation, sir told me just one thing: 'You're a good actor, and I want to present you with a role that will bring out the funny side of you as well'".
