According to a report published in Sacnilk, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai saw a massive dip in numbers at the overseas box office and earned Rs 1cr on day 4 (first Monday) taking the total collection to Rs 9.5cr. On the other hand, the total worldwide collection of the movie emerged as Rs 42.43cr after 4 days
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Beats Chand Mera Dil Lifetime Worldwide Collection
With an overseas collection of Rs 9.5cr and worldwide collection of Rs 42.43cr, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer Chand Mera Dil which had earned Rs 3.85cr in overseas and Rs 37.77cr worldwide.
Meanwhile, recalling her first meeting with David Dhawan, Mrunal stated, "When I first met David Dhawan ji over a cup of chai, I had no idea what the film was, who the hero was, or what the story was. I think during that 45-minute conversation, sir told me just one thing: 'You're a good actor, and I want to present you with a role that will bring out the funny side of you as well'".
