Ikkis Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Dharmendra's Last Film To See A Decent Start; To Create THIS Record | EXCL
Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: As the year 2026 has begun, it marks the return of late actor Dharmendra on the big screen for one last time. Yes! Dharmendra, who breathed his last on November 24, 2025, is now making headlines for his swansong Ikkis which is a biographical war drama. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and centered around the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War.

Starring Agastya Nanda in his theatrical debut, Dharmendra in his final film role, Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia, Ikkis followed Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal's journey, focusing on key moments from early service to heroic death in the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India Pakistan War. It also portrayed Brigadier ML Khetarpal's visit to Pakistan three decades later, exploring aftermath and memory. As Ikkis has finally hit the screens, here's how it is likely to fare at the box office
Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction
In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat's Ranpreet Kaur, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal stated that given the fact that it is Dharmendra's last film and is releasing on a holiday, Ikkis is expected to see a good opening of Rs 3.5-5.5cr today (day 1/first Thursday)
Ikkis To Become Sriram Raghavan's Highest Opener
Interestingly, if the prediction turned out to be true, Ikkis will beat the opening day collection of AndhaDhun (Rs 2.70cr) and will emerge as Sriram Raghavan's highest opener of all times.
Meanwhile, during a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Sriram Raghavan got candid about Arun Khetarpal's family's reaction to Ikkis and said, "Arun Khetarpal's brother saw the film. He was extremely moved. He had a long chat with Agastya Nanda (who plays Arun in the film). He told us, 'Now, I imagine what Arun must have gone through when he was there'. He asked us, 'How did you capture my brother so well?'. It was quite overwhelming for him watching the film".

The exclusive quote is shared by Rohit Jaiswal who is a renowned film business expert.
