The film showed a solid weekend trend, then faced a sharp fall on working days. With these figures, analysts describe the overall box office outcome so far as mixed rather than strong.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Mardaani 3 saw a dip in numbers on day 7 (first Thursday) and earned Rs 1.85cr which took the overall collection to Rs 26.3cr

Despite the dip in numbers, Mardaani 3 has managed to record the second highest week 1 collection of the franchise after Mardaani 2. For the uninitiated, Mardaani 2 had earned Rs 28.05cr in week 1 while the number was Rs 22.87cr for Mardaani.

Meanwhile, given the response to Border 2, there have been speculations about Border 3. Talking about it, co-producer Bhushan Kumar told Hindustan Times, "We are doing a joint venture with his (Anurag Singh) company and my company. He'll be directing, and it will be something new. Border 3 will happen in due course".
