Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Day 4 (Morning Trend): Sara's Film Struggles On 1st Monday; Fails To Earn 40L
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Collection Day 4 (Morning Trend): Ayushmann Khurrana's first 2026 release, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, has arrived in cinemas and is already under close watch. The romantic comedy has drawn strong curiosity, yet the early chatter from viewers is divided. While social media discussions are active, the overall verdict so far is that the film has received a mixed response. Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is directed by Mudassar Aziz and is described as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which featured Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday.

This time, Ayushmann shares the screen with three leads, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh, with Sara and Wamiqa teaming up with Ayushmann for the first time. The project also brings Ayushmann and Rakul Preet Singh together again after Doctor G, adding another familiar pairing for audiences. Viewers have noted the fresh chemistry between Ayushmann, Sara and Wamiqa, while Rakul Preet's presence strengthens the ensemble feel. From its cast choices to lively songs and storyline, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do attracted strong pre-release buzz, yet the film has not fully matched those expectations, leading to a more cautious audience reaction.

To note, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do witnessed a slow start at the box office and failed to earn Rs 40 lakhs from the morning shows today. The movie had earned Rs 35 lakhs until 1pm taking the total collection to Rs 17.85cr. It will be interesting to see if Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will be able to touch Rs 20cr today.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann, in a conversation with India Today, opened up about the comparison between Pati Patni Aur Woh Do with that of Sanjeev Kumar and Kartik Aaryan starrer Pati Patni Aur Wo which came out in 1978 and 2019 respectively. He stated, "It's not really a comparison. We are simply taking it forward. This is like a pati universe. We have spy universes and horror universes, but more than 40 crore husbands in India don't have a universe of their own. We are just building that universe further. The film is immensely funny and entertaining, and I'm excited for audiences to experience it together because it's a community watch".
