Peddi (Hindi) Box Office Collection Day 1: Peddi, Ram Charan's first theatrical release of 2026, arrived in cinemas with a wide reach. The sports drama opened in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, aiming at a pan-India audience. The film has been directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena. Peddi featured an ensemble that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani. Many industry observers view this project as important for Ram Charan after Game Changer underperformed in 2023.

Reviewers and viewers point to flaws in Peddi's narrative structure and pacing, noting uneven writing. However, there has been a broad agreement that Ram Charan anchored the film with an intense lead turn. Marking as Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's first collaboration has also been drawing attention, adding curiosity among younger urban and regional audiences. To note, Peddi weaves themes of rural struggle, village rights, sports ambition and conflict with influential figures. From an interesting trailer to star cast, Peddi did manage to create waves in the industry. However, mixed reviews did affect the box office numbers especially in the Hindi belt.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Peddi witnessed a slow start at the box office and earned just Rs 3cr for the Hindi version on day 1 (first Thursday)

Peddi Fails To Beat Devara On Day 1 (Hindi)

Interestingly, Peddi has been facing frequent comparisons with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara Part 1 and fans have been speculating if the Ram Charan starrer could beat the latter. However, with a collection of Rs 3cr, Peddi has minted less than half of the opening day collection of Devara in Hindi belt which was Rs 7.5cr. It will be interesting to see if Peddi can pick up pace in the coming days

Meanwhile, during an event, director Buchi Babu Sana lauded Peddi lead actress Janhvi Kapoor and asserted, "We are all huge admirers of your mother, Sridevi garu. Janhvi has played Achayamma beautifully, and hers is one of the most important roles in the film. Her performance in the climax is outstanding. There is a strong sense of heroism in her character, and I am grateful that she became part of this journey".
