Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 3: Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi historical drama Raja Shivaji is now in cinemas across India and attracting attention. Viewers are responding strongly to the emotional moments, large-scale battle scenes and lead performances. Early reactions suggest the film is connecting with both Marathi-speaking audiences and wider Indian viewers. Riteish Deshmukh not only plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but also directs the film, continuing work in Marathi cinema alongside Hindi projects. The script is co-written by Riteish, Ajit Wadekar and Sandeep Patil, who aim to give a fresh screen interpretation of Shivaji's life.

Raja Shivaji presents Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as the founder of the Maratha Empire, with the narrative designed as a big-screen retelling of Shivaji's journey and legacy. The film positions itself as both an action drama and a character-focused story, showing political strategy, personal sacrifice and family bonds. The ensemble includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi and Amole Gupte. Adding a personal angle, Rahyl Deshmukh, child of Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, appears as young Shivaji. This links the role across generations and underlines the film's attempt to connect history with present-day audiences.

It's my job to provide you with what you need for your vision.' If there ever came a point where we couldn't afford something, she would say, 'I will try and manage,' she never said 'no' to my vision.
