Animal Box Office Day 8: Ranbir’s Film Crosses 360Cr; Beats Sanju’s Lifetime Collection To Create THIS Record

Ranbir Kapoor is over cloud nine these days and rightfully so. After all, his recent collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga - Animal is roaring loud and has set the box office on fire since the first day. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in the lead, the gory action drama has got the town talking and has been minting huge numbers every day. In fact, despite slight dip in collections during the first week, Animal managed to have a strong hold at the box office.
While Animal had managed to rake in Rs 300 crores in just 6 days of release and even beat the lifetime collection of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3, it continues its winning streak on day 8 as well. According to a report shared by Sacnilk, Animal raked in Rs 23.50 crores on day 8 (second Friday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 361.08 crores.
Interestingly, with this phenomenal performance, Animal has managed to surpass the lifetime collection of Ranbir's 2018 release Sanju. For the uninitiated, Sanju had made the lifetime collection of Rs 342.53 crores in India. This isn't all. Animal has also become Ranbir's highest grossing film ever now and is expected to create more records in the coming days.
Besides, Animal is doing wonders at the worldwide box office as well and had minted Rs 563.3 crores in seven days. Reportedly, the movie had crossed Rs 600 crores mark day 8 at the worldwide box office and is expected to surpass the worldwide lifetime collection of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2.
Interestingly, Animal is witnessing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal's biographical war drama Sam Bahadur. Talking about the clash, Vicky told Indian Express, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema". Meanwhile, Ranbir's Animal has managed to crush Sam Bahadur at the box office and this is evident with a huge gap in their collections.
